The dog who chased lightning- what might happen next to midge?

This is what I thinks might happen to midge next.

Midge might be playing outside and it starts raining and the thunder starts poring. The owner stands under shelter and Midge starts to play in the thunder because he thought that the lightning was a big torch and was flashing at him.
