COOK ISLAND LANGUAGE WEEK:
Kia ora and welcome back to my blog!
IALT: Talk about Cook Island Language week
As you may know, there was Cook Island language week this week and our class has been learning A LOT about the Cook Island culture. As you know, we learnt how to have a basic conversation in the Cook Island Maori language. We also learnt a Cook island song which is called "Kuki Airani" by PAO. On Friday we had assembly and the whole school showcased what they have been learning about for Cook Island language week and we did a dance and singing. Here is the song if you want to listen to it:
One thing that I enjoyed was seeing what the other classes have been learning about. One thing that I didn't enjoy was that it took really long and I was getting really tired but they did learn a lot. If I could do the dance again, I think I would change some of the moves because I think the boys only had one move and I think we should have made them basic and easy to learn because we only had one block to teach them. But after all, it went really well!
QUESTION: What did you do for Cook Island Language week?
Please comment on my blog!
MANY THANKS
