Day 4 bonus activity - Musical festival - Matatini SLJ

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog!

In this activity I have to rank each of these videos #1 favourite, #3 least favourite.

Here are the videos if you want to see:

Te Iti Kahurangi

Te Puku o Te Ika

Number 3: Tamatea Arikinui
This is my least favourite performance because they didn't really catch the audience's attention but other then that they were really great at poi, they had lovely voices and they did an outstanding job.

Number 2: Te Iti Kahurangi
This kapa haka group did an AMAZING job on there performance. They got the audience's attention, the sung loud and proud and even though they were only swaying, there voices made it powerful.

Number 1: Te Puku o Te Ika
This is my most favourite kapa haka performance because they sung proud to a person that they all looked up to that I think passed away, they sung with there heart and it was spiritual.

Well these are my rankings to these 3 videos:

Thanks for reading and more blog posts will be coming so stay tuned!

  1. Hi Cerenity,

Well done! Another great post. I don't know about you but I found it very difficult to rank the three performances because they were all so amazing! But I also put Te Puku o Te Ika in first place.
The way they sang the song was really beautiful. They had a lot of emotion in their voices. I also liked the harmonising they did because their voices sounded like one but like many all at the same time.

Do you enjoy singing? I do! Sometimes my family tells me to be quiet because I'm doing too much singing!

I look forward to reading more of your blog.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.
